You’ve Finished Screaming into the Void — Now What?
Can we consciously move beyond our shock and awe over the madness of the ruling patriarchy ?
Screaming out in frustration at the societal insanity passing for normal today has sadly become routine, like coming down with a bad flu. Though rarely has an outbreak of a virus carried such a dystopian bent. Fortunately, it seems many of us are awakening to a new potential, that we can possibly avert an end times scenario and heal our world.
On bad nights, when sleep is elusive, I consider what is happening beyond the media driven distractions of the moment. I ask myself how we have allowed overwhelming ignorance to became such a mighty force. How is it we keep empowering ego-driven old men and let them make all the big decisions?
Sometimes a scream into the void is all I have to offer up in the face of our leaders brutal stupidity in these mythic times.
We seem to be racing towards the edge of an unknowable abyss while pretending we’re not, being encouraged by stupidity and lunacy. How have we come to this?
Here’s a possibility: What if this turbulent race to nowhere is actually the beginning labor pains of a new way of living on our shared biosphere? What if the arrogance, ignorance and cruelty of the patriarchal worldview is finally becoming recognized as the destructive force it has always been by a critical mass of us? What changes will this recognition bring about?
There are more of us inviting in a new worldview of unity. A critical mass is definitely emerging, being birthed by the wise crones, mystics, poets and spiritual warriors hiding among us who carry the magickal fire of creation within their souls.
Living in the overwhelming shadow of the patriarchy, we forgot that before any contrived identity created to divide us, we have always been the children of our shared Mother Earth. We forgot our inherent oneness that springs from the same sacred Life-force that turns acorns into oak trees, keeps our planet spinning and our hearts beating.
I remain optimistic, despite the chaos. Our memory is returning as our souls are being prepared by that creative force for evolutionary change. At least it feels like there is some sort of preparation going on. It would suck if this shit show we are currently living would be for nothing.
The patriarchal worldview doesn’t honor the universal truth of our union with each other all of Life. Instead, we are asked to exalt our allegiance to some claimed nation-state and flag that we’re programed to believe is better than any other flag. And that lack of honoring epitomizes the ignorance that invites in the need to scream.
As the patriarchy flourished, we lost the wisdom of our original, intelligent design and abandoned our soul’s natural unity. We once celebrated this unity as the wild spirits we were born to be, before we were forced to become civilized by the patriarchy’s savagery. And the result is a world of nightmarish, self-inflicted misery. We have been made tame, domesticated and divided in service to a few old farts at society’s top tier.
The suffering brought about by our current worldview has reached a high-fevered pitch. Insanity has broached the ramparts of compassion and human kindness. The screaming comes. But we can only scream for so long.
Beyond our screaming, we are beginning to remember the reverence built into the original design for our natural wildness. We feel the labor pains and are readying ourselves for a grand birth into the wholeness of Life! Being that change seems the call of today.
We used to honor the witchy Grandmothers as natural leaders before the patriarchy came into its myopic, fear-mongering own, destroying the naturally witchy among us. Those elder women were our teachers, sharing tales about how Mother Earth worked. They would teach us about our genuine place as a part of Earth’s grand perfection.
The Grandmothers showed us how to live in harmony with the currents of Life, being more loving than fearful — something desperately lacking today.
One of the old stories the Grandmothers told was about the creative spirit of Spider and her responsibility to weave the web of Life into existence. Spider weaves in all dimensions of time and space. It’s her web that unifies us within the infinite and creative natural unfolding of the Life-force.
There are countless patterns woven by Spider and the Grandmothers would instruct us on how we can learn from her intricate artistry. They showed us how we could open up to the same inspiration (in spirit) that inspires Spider to weave her web.
The creative Life-force is asking us to weave patterns today, like Spider, expressing our Love by instilling the willingness to meet each other within the energetic space of our original unity. We can release these patterns into our little corner of the web and affect the entirety. As we take back our power to weave our life, maybe our screams will quiet down.
In holding the intention to open up to our connection with the creative Life-force, with our Mother Earth and each with other, we will begin to effortlessly express our original, sacred function as Earth People and as caretakers of each other’s soul. We will begin to hear the whispers of the Grandmothers once again.
As more of us remember our sacred function, to express our lives from that space of loving connection that the Grandmothers pointed towards, the world will mend. As more of us remember that we are all a part of the one web and every strand is as sacred as the next, the people will begin to heal from the current madness of fear and separation.
Healing comes from our willingness to consciously take responsibility for the creative use of mind, every day. We can choose to become harmless, to extend unity and tune into the wisdom of the Grandmothers that can guide us with the intuitive insights they offer — and we can choose it again and again throughout our days.
We can learn to weave in the loving energy of our powerful union with all of Life, inviting that into the world! And when we feel the need, we can scream. And the Grandmothers will always listen and offer us their compassion and kindness, They will remind us of our deepest calling, to create a wondrous, new world together.
